New Licensee Classes

Students must take Unit I before they apply to the SC Real Estate Commission to take their tests. They can take their tests before they complete Unit II, but they must complete Unit II before their license can be activated.

 

Unit I: SC Real Estate Salesperson Prelicensing Curriculum

 

Unit I curriculum's intention is to provide a reasonably comprehensive guide to the subject matter, laws, processes, and activities that are part of the real estate profession. This course is not intended to restrict itself only to the details of the state exam PSI test but to ensure all terms and concepts are discussed in an open format in a classroom setting. This is the first step in preparing the students in the complex practice of the real estate profession in South Carolina.  (60 hours of total instruction)

Cost: $429 includes textbook 

Dates:
January 22-25 AND Jan 29-Feb 1 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (8 DAYS)
May 13-16 AND 20-23 (8 DAYS)

 

Unit II: Advanced Real Estate Principles

The intent of Advanced Real Estate Principles Unit II is to help the licensee become more proficient in the practice of real estate and to reinforce pertinent topics so as to protect the public when involved in a real estate transaction. To meet this objective, Modules approved for Unit II credit are written specifically for students who have completed the Unit I course. Each Unit II module contains 6 hours of skill training where students must demonstrate a clear understanding of Agency and property disclosures, contracts ethics, basic property calculations, and fair housing rules. (30 hours total of instruction)

Cost: $329 includes class materials

Dates:
Feb 11-14 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (4 DAYS)
June 10-13

 


Upgrade to a Broker License

If you wish to obtain a South Carolina Broker’s license or become a South Carolina Broker In Charge, you must have your for three consecutive years. To obtain your South Carolina Real Estate Broker's License or South Carolina Broker In Charge License, you must complete both the Broker A and Broker B course. Once you have completed these courses, you will then take the South Carolina Real Estate Brokers Exam.

 

 

Broker Unit IIIA

The intention of the curriculum is to provide a reasonably comprehensive guide to the subject matter, laws, processes, activities and responsibilities that are part of the real estate profession. Additionally, an understanding of the legal responsibilities and liabilities, both civil and criminal that is inherent in virtually every decision a BIC makes. This course is to ensure that the Broker candidate will be prepared for assuming the position of leadership, supervision, and responsibility within the complex practice of the real estate profession in South Carolina.  Unit IIIA 30hours of instruction 

Cost: $275 includes class materials

Dates:
April 8, 9, 10, 11, 2019
November 11, 12, 18, 19, 2019

 

 

Broker Unit IIIB
Selected sections and activities and assignments to help review the terms, concepts and guide the broker candidate on subject matters needed to prepare the individual for the Broker exam.  Unit IIIB 30hours  

Cost: $275 includes class materials

Dates:
April 15, 16, 17, 18
November 25, 26 December 2, 3
